Also known as Camassia leichtlinii ‘Alba’ for its upright spikes of starry, creamy-white blooms in late spring. This elegant perennial makes a fine focal point for a damp border or meadow planting scheme where its flowers rise above the strappy, silvery-grey foliage. Camassia is a North American native, seldom seen in UK gardens, but well worth trying. Plant it among bright Alliums or against a background of dark foliage to create a dazzling contrast. Height: 130cm (51″). Spread: 10cm (4″).
